Important update for Lebanese students in Italy
The Embassy of Lebanon in Italy is pleased to share an important update aimed at facilitating procedures related to the residence permit and obtaining the tax code, thereby enabling faster access to essential services.
Following the request presented by H.E. Carla Jazzar, Ambassador of the Republic of Lebanon to Italy, during the meeting held on 23 February with Minister Plenipotentiary Marco Villani, Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister of the Interior, the Central Directorate for Immigration and Border Police has communicated that it has implemented the Stranieri Web platform, dedicated to the issuance of residence permits.
Thanks to this update, it will be possible to anticipate the printing of the tax code on the receipt confirming acquisition of the application, at the time the foreign national appears before the Immigration Office.
Furthermore, last January, the same Central Directorate issued a circular to all Immigration Offices with the aim of accelerating appointment requests for students and, consequently, bringing forward the issuance of the tax code, which is essential for accessing all essential services.
We invite Lebanese students in Italy to share their experience and feedback with the Embassy regarding the implementation of these measures.
The Embassy remains available to provide assistance, collect any reports, and offer clarifications.
