“‘Terra’ Conquers Rome: The Short Film by Lebanese Youth Celebrates Peace, Solidarity, and the Environment at the ITFF.”
A special event took place on October 5 at the Embassy of Lebanon in Rome, where the Italian-language students of the Sarba Cultural Center were honored with an important international recognition. Their experimental film, “|Terra,” received the “Article Nine of the Italian Constitution” Award during the 14th edition of the International Tour Film Festival (ITFF).
“|Terra” is an experimental short film that explores universal themes such as peace, solidarity, and environmental protection, presented through the perspective of young Lebanese creators. The film blends evocative imagery, original music, and an innovative visual language to convey powerful emotions and deep reflections on the values enshrined in Article Nine of the Italian Constitution. Its universal narrative and ability to reach an international audience distinguished the project as an outstanding work in the 2025 edition of the ITFF.
The award ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic, Carla Jazzar, who welcomed the guests and expressed hopes for further cultural collaboration between Italy and Lebanon, and remotely, via international video link, the Director-General of the Ministry of Culture, Ali Samad. The students, together with their parents, expressed enthusiasm and pride for this recognition, which brings together creative talent, Italian-language learning, and cultural exchange.
